Members of the Ladorwayo community in the Shai-Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region have expressed worry over the destruction of their cemetery by some unscrupulous persons.
They expressed worry over how their ancestors’ mortal remains preserved at the cemetery have been exhumed and exposed through illegal sand mining activities.
Speaking at a press conference at Ladorwayo yesterday, Secretary of the Akamisa Royal Family, Robert Tetteh Odonkor, accused one Albert Kwei of being the one destroying the cemetery with his sand mining activities.
“This chaos has been instigated by Albert Kwei, who falsely claims the title of Asafoatse Nartey-Wayo Akamisa II, with his land guards. He has deceitful obtained a fraudulent judgement with suit No. J4/28/2022, and is using it to threaten residents of Ladorwayo and the entire Great Ningo enclave.
“It is crucial that we address this issue critically in a bid to protect and preserve the integrity of our Royal Stool Name, Akamisa. We are committed to seeking justice and ensuring that Albert akwei is held accountable for his fraudulent behaviour, “he stated.
The secretary disclosed that Mr. Albert Kwei has absolutely no affiliation with Djangmaku Manya Gortsonya, nor belong to the Bedai family of Djangmaku Anehor Ayenya Clan, who are the rightful owners of Ladorwayo land.
He disclosed that the evil act by Albert Quaye and his team of land guards has brought fear and panic into the Ladorwayo community.
