The Kingmakers and Council of Elders of ‘Dzenge We’ of Nungua have announced the enstoolment of a new chief for Sakumonor.
The new Chief was enstooled under the stool name Nii Angenu Alabi Gbene III. The enstoolment was done at the Dzenge We Divisional Clan of Nungua on Thursday 2nd February, 2023.
After going through the customary and traditional processes, the Chief was outdoored and presented to the Divisional family/clan and the entire Nungua Township in a colourful procession through the principal streets.
The enstoolment and outdooring of the new Chief were performed and witnessed by the Asafoiatse Abuyeh Lokpo Kakai, the Dzenge We Jaasetse Nii Borketey Wulu of Dzenge, the Sakumono Mannye Naa Borley Amisah among several other Chiefs.
Nii Angenu Alabi Gbene III swore the oath of allegiance to the Dzenge We Jaasetse Nii borketey Wulu, and other leaders of Nungua as a whole.
The new Chief, known in private life as Mr. Samuel Cheethan Bortey Alabi is resolved to help Foster peace and unity within Sarkumonor.
Speaking at the function, the Sakumonor Mantse pledged to make the development of area his focus.
The business mogul and entrepreneur said, “I look forward to working with the Community leaders, District Assembly, NGOs, Government, and Businesses to bring the town, which is the eye of the Ga State back on track as the vibrant town it used to be some years back.
On his part, the Dzaasetse of Dzenge We, Nii Borketey Wulu, assured the new chief of the support of the Council of Elders of Dzenge We for a successfulreign.
The Dzaasetse also advised the chief to ensure that the lost image of Sakumonor was installed within the shortest possible time.
