The New Patriotic Party (NPP) yesterday launched the card vending system aimed at making it easier for party members to acquire part cards and boost payments, as part of its resource mobilisation efforts.
This innovation which levels on technology, aside being part of the party’s resource mobilization effort, would also help to enhance engagement, simplify transactions, and foster a more inclusive environment for party members and supporters.
Speaking to the media at the press conference in Accra, the National chairman of the NPP Mr. Stephen Ayensu stated that due to high demand for the NPP membership card, the party created a new initiative to expand vendors for easy accessibility of party card in every constituency.
“In view of the high demand for the party card the national leadership of the party I’ve resolved to decentralise the issuance of the party cards at the constituency and regional levels to enhance the acquisition of the party card to boost deals payments as part of our resource mobilisation effort,” he said.
The vending system with is in partnership with the private vendors would also reduce the huge number of people who visit the party office for membership cards.
“Needless to say, since everybody will now have easy access to the acquisition of the caps at this juncture, I wish to call on the national treasurer to give details of the party vending system since we are now entering the financials,” Chairman Ntim stated.
Moreover, regarding the disrupting incident that occurred during the collection of results after voting at the Walewale primaries the General Secretary of the NPP Justin Frimpong-Kodua assured the media and the Ghanaians that the New Patriotic Party will take a firm stance on this matter after it next meeting tomorrow.
The National treasurer Charlse Dwamena also disclosed that any individual interested in becoming party vendors should contact 055 0326221 or visit the office of the national treasure at office of the national organiser and then pick up a set of registration forms.
