Deputy Minister for Finance, John Kumah has congratulated the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) for exceeding the 2022 revised revenues target of GH¢72 billion to a collection of GH¢75.54 billion.
He also encouraged them to dig deep into their strength of professionalism and resilience as usual to collect GH¢110.5 billion for 2023.
John Kumah said this when he represented the Minister for Finance, Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta in Takoradi during the GRA Board Retreat.
The retreat was held under the theme; “Revenue Generation for Ghana All hands-on deck.”
He encouraged GRA to identify Ghana’s rump on the LAFFER curve, and use it as basis to advise tax policy going forward; this he said will add up to their efforts to shore up revenue mobilization.
The Deputy Finance Minister finally joined the board members of GRA on a tour to selected offices for customs and GPHA in Takoradi and joined the team on a boat ride at the newly constructed Oil and Gas Terminal at the Takoradi Ports.
