Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu constituency and also Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. John Kumah has presented about 500bags of fertilizers, Urea and NPK to support various rice farmers in his constituency.
According to him, this is part of the intervention to promote agriculture, and increase the yields of rice farmers and to encourage the youth to engage in agriculture.
The farmers were excited and grateful for his king gesture.
In all, five communities benefited from this project including the Kwaso, Assienimpong, Boankra, Donaso and Achinakrom communities.
Also, some selected individuals from these communities who engage in vegetable farming benefited from this project.
Hon. John Kumah urged them to take their farming job seriously to enable Ghana boost agricultural products and making food cheap in the community and Ghana as a whole.
