One who takes risks by learning to identify, choose and live with acceptable risk; a student who appreciates the Heritage, leadership and particularly a student who is defined by hope. As a think tank which is also a licensed operator of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award Scheme, proudly delivered in Ghana by the Head of States Awards Scheme with a clear emphasis on developing the skill set of the young one from age 1sss4yrs-24yrs. We believe in the future of the youth”, he said.
“ It is also for a student who has proven steps to maximize their potential, who can have a leadership game plan for their life and is a leadership Asset, a student who plays team and has fully been trained in underachievement, and understanding how to overcome the 5 dysfunctions of team formation and A student who lives a life of simplicity from exhausted to energized, from overscheduled to organized, from overwhelmed to in control, from restless to fulfilled, from wounded to whole, from anxious to peaceful, from isolated to connected, from drifting to focused, from stuck to moving on and from meaningless to satisfied,”. He said.
“This project is for those who have acquired the discipline of getting things done à Execution. Why execution is needed, building blocks of execution and the three core processes of execution. It is for a student who has a habit, who has a personal Bank account, who has paradigms and principles, who is proactive, who begins with the end in mind, who puts first things first, who thinks win-win, who seeks first to understand then to be understood and who keeps Hope Alive; a student who is the light of truth, hope and shinning God’s beauty into a darkened world and a student who can experience authentic community and a student who understands the journey and not the sprint, who appreciates the elderly handing over the baton and one who is connected generationally”, he noted.
“Kandifo Institute is purely established as a response to creating a new permanent order in Ghana. As a Public Policy Think Tank which advocates in a very practical way, influencing policies that facilitate and sustain conservatism as a guided ideology of preference. We exist to promote a development path that is traditionally rested on an organic conception of society based on the belief that society is a living organism comprising closely connected, interdependent members.”
“Kandifo Institute believes that through our research, National policy dialogues, private sector development and developing a productive youth, we will shape and nurture the development destiny of Ghana. One of our goals & objectives as a youth-led, youth-oriented think tank is to build and develop the youth to imbibe conservative leadership elements to prepare them as leaders and builders of the future based upon the established foundation of a stable society. “
“As a think tank, mentoring the youth is one of our key areas of focus. By this, we have established a leadership programme where experienced professions would be linked to selected youth to mentor them in leadership in line with the tenets of the conservative tradition and particularly to be savvy and able to communicate on critical national issues on governance and economy”.
“Lee Kuan Yew (Former Prime Minister of Singapore, 1959 – 1990) stated: “You must leave the boy and the girl with SOMETHING to start a life-long cultivation of mental and cultural habits. The person who can pick from where he left off in school and who can continue his interest in life is the person you must EDUCATE. He cannot just have passed examinations.”
“President Akufo-Addo, in one of his favourite quotes on team work states “You have to respect unreservedly, the authority of the coach, and the authority of the captain. That is basic rules, non-negotiable rules. If you don’t do it, everybody will be going their separate ways. If you do that, you cement the teamwork, and you will become a cohesive forceful force.”
“This 5-year MoU between Kandifo Institute and USAG makes both the youthful think tank and the student union of about 40 member institutions and about 300,000 estimated student number a forceful force. the future Of Ghana is undoubtedly the young people of Ghana who form 52% of Ghana’s population. Deep influence in the future of the young people demands that they are each forged on the inside with a high level of emotional intelligence whilst managing the shadow side”.
