Residents of Kwahu- Aduamoah, a town in the Kwahu East District, in the Eastern region, well known for the production of tiger nuts in Ghana are agog at the steady progress at which the new palace is being constructed.
The ultra-modern palace, being constructed by the Werepemhene, Nana Yaw Ankomah Acheampong II, is eighty percent (80%) completed and is expected to be fitted with state-of-the-art gadgets as well as the traditional heritage.
“We are proud of Nana. This palace would be the talk of town and would also attract tourist locally and internationally,” one of the sub-chiefs told this paper yesterday.
The elders and people have also expressed gratitude to their chief for the construction of a new palace.
It does not end there, Nana Yaw Ankomah Acheampong II has also constructed many bore holes for various communities under his rule, assisted the aged and widows, and has promises to do more for his people.
Those closer to the chief whose town houses the oldest palace in Kwahu have describe the Werepemhene as a man of few words but very heavy on action. “Whatever he promises he does.”
