The New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth wing in the Kwahu South Municipality in the Eastern Region is appealing to President Akufo Addo to reappoint their Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Emmanuel Attah Ofori Snr to continue with the good work he is rendering to the Municipality.
According to the Youth Wing, the MCE has done marvellous job since he was appointed and deserves to continue for the second, hence appealing to the ruling government to consider him.
Addressing the media at Mpraeso lorry station, the group said every good leader must have some qualities such as being honest, loyal, trustworthy, welcoming, truthful, etc adding that, the MCE Attah Ofori Snr has proven beyond all reasonable doubts that he possesses all these qualities.
They outlined some developmental projects established under the leadership of the MCE since he resumed office in 2017, adding that the MCE has always placed the Municipality and the New Patriotic Party first in all his dealings, even before his family.
The Leader of Mpraeso NPP Walkers Club Prince Osei also commended the government over developmental projects and policies implemented to benefit the citizens nationwide.
The group noted that the MCE under his tenure saw to the provision of farming inputs such as high-quality seeds, fertilizers, insecticides, pesticides e, etc. to support the activities of farmers in the 26 electoral areas within the Municipality.
Aside from the farmers, they said the MCE in the past years has provided more facilities to the existing schools and hospitals in the area which helped improve education and healthcare.
Touching on roads, they disclosed that only 10 out of the 26 electoral areas, have their roads tarred at the moment, and promised plans are underway to improve the road network in the area.
