The Founder and Leader of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) , Christian Kwabena Andrews (Kyiriabossom), has criticised both Former President John Dramani Mahama and the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for being the masterminds of the current economic challenges faced by the country.
Former President Mahama, who is seeking to lead the National Democratic Party (NDC) in the 2024 General elections, the GUM Founder said was only seeking power to enrich himself and not to create good avenues for the Ghanaian populace.
According to him Mr Mahama who was in the tick of affairs during the late Atta Mills regime caused a lot of mess to Ghana’s economy and should not be entertained in the upcoming general elections.
“I want to find out from Former President Mahama what he has left behind and want to come back to power and take back “he questioned.
He also alledged that the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration is full of selfish personalities who don’t have no vision for the country’s development.
Members of the current Government Kyiriabossom said depends mainly on external resources rather than internal ones for Ghana’s growth as part of their quest of enrichening themselves.
According to him GUM is the only political party with credible people that can save Ghana from its current economic challenges when voted for in the 2024 general elections.
GUM he said cannot sit unconcerned while the International Monetary Fund (IMF) takes over precarious economic situation with hard condtionalities about to bite in the bextvcoming months on the Ghanaian trader and the entire people of the country.
“GUM as a political party, we have a lot of social intervention programs but because of tile let me pause here and offer some advice to the current Government before I draw the curtains down as a Ghanaian who considers the interests of the ordinary Ghanaian first” he stated.
