The Parliamentary Candidate elect for New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the La Dade Kotopon Constituency, Joseph Gerald Tetteh Nyanyofio has toured various Voter Registration Centres in his constituency and called on all party faithfuls to come out and register in preparation for the massive victory that awaits the party in December 2020.
Gerald secured a resounding victory against the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Vincent Sowah Odotei aka Obama in the just ended parliamentary primaries and is hoping to maintain the seat for the NPP in the upcoming general elections.
Gerald is touring the various communities to encourage supporters and sympathizers of the party as well as floating voters to come out and register and vote for the New Patriotic Party in December.
According to him, the Voters Registration exercise will afford the people of La, Dadekotopon the Opportunity to express their gratitude to President Akufo Addo in the December for his social intervention programs introduced to relieve them from poverty.
Dade Kotopon is one of the constituencies snatched from the NDC by the NPP in the 2016 general elections and Gerald is hoping to maintain the seat.
The la Dadekotopon Municipal Districts has its administrative capital at La and it is one of the sixteen districts in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana with a current population of 226,148 based on the records of the Ghana Statistical Service.
The district was established by legislative instrument (LI 2133) in 2012 with the local authority of the district the la Dade Kotopon Municipal Assembly which is currently headed by ….. who was appointed by the President of the Republic of Ghana in 2017 as the Municipal Chief Executive and serve as the political head of the District.
The La Dade Kotopon Municipal Assembly district having been carved out of the Accra Metropolitan District in 2012 is one of the three districts that make up the Accra Metropolitan Area, an area that serves as the capital of Ghana.
Administratively the disis one of the 12 local authority districts of the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area which include Metropolitan District, Tema Metropolitan Districts, Ga South Municipal District, Ga Central Municipal Districts, Ga West Municipal, Ga East Municipal District, Adentan Municipal Districts, Ashiaman, Municipal District, La NkwantananMadina Municipal District, Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal District and Kpone Katamanso District.
