Preparations are far-advanced for Oduma Solutions Limited, a wholly-Ghanaian- owned cybersecurity company with international connections and collections of knowledgeable teams of reputable professionals of world-class standard, to launch the biggest and best SOC center in Africa.
The SOC is intended to provide services to financial institutions, energy companies, government agencies and all other sectors with online presence.
A Security Operation Center (SOC) is a centralized function within an organization employing people, processes, and technology to continuously monitor and improve an organization’s security posture while preventing, detecting, analysing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
SOCs act like the hub or central command post, taking in telemetry from across an organization’s IT infrastructure, including its networks, devices, appliances, and information stores, wherever those assets reside.
When fully operational, Oduma Solutions Limited SOC would provide solutions to challenges “such as email protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), secure cloud services, identity protection and enterprise security assurance…”
Chief Executive Officer of Oduma Solutions, Stephen Nana Amponsah, in an interview with the New Crusading GUIDE said, “We have a pool of world class experts and a good understanding of the global threat landscape, covering the various aspects of information security space, which helps us to tailor our solutions to specific needs of clients.”
Asked what influenced the creation of Oduma Solutions Ltd., Nana Amponsah indicated “We identified a market gap in the cybersecurity space, where we wanted to build a brand with high expertise and professionals around the world. Our goal is to build a world class information security company which proffers premium cybersecurity solutions with a regional proximity.”
The name Oduma, New Crusading GUIDE gathered, means a lion in some tribes in Nigeria and a Ga name for women, which also stands from strength, resilience and reliability. “We also believe our women are one of our valuable assets and we hope to build a company that will have a minimum gender balance of 50/50 and empower”, Nana Amposah added.
Stephen Nana Amponsah is a former Investment Banker in the Financial City of London.
