The Traditional rulers of Fanteakwa South District in the Eastern Region are appealing to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, to re-appoint their DCE, Adjabeng Kwasi Ntori, to continue with his good works as the District Chief Executive for the area.
According to Osaberima Otu Darko IV, the Chief of Osino also the Acting Benkumhene of the Akyem – Abuakwa Traditional Council, in a petition signed by him and the chiefs in his jurisdiction, the DCE within Two and Half (212) years in office, the DCE has proved himself as a competent, hardworking person in the District.
The Chiefs noted that throughout his Two and a Half (21/2) years in office he took absolute charge of his office and established a strong working relationship with all Nananom, his party, Member of Parliament(MP), and the entire citizenry of Fanteakwa South District.
They said he collaborated with Nananom on issues about the development of the District, adding that his humility, deep knowledge in local governance issues for the past two and a half (21/2) years have been fruitful and therefore deserves to remain in office to continue his service to Fanteakwa South District in particular and Ghana as a whole.
They indicated that within two and a half (21/2) years he has undertaken several developmental projects in many areas.
Meanwhile, checks at the Assembly indicated that the DCE has been able to construct six-unit classroom blocks in areas such as Nsutem, Osino, Osama, Hemang, and Pimpimso and also completed the uncompleted school projects he inherited.
Also, about 300 people with disabilities have benefited from social development as well as been able to construct KIA medical center in Saman where they started constructing nurses’ quarters in some areas.
Under the government flagship programs such as planting for food and job and planting for export and rural development, he has been able to support farmers with the needed seedlings from their projects.
Over 7,000 coconut seedlings have been disbursed to farmers as well as providing mechanized boreholes to most of the communities and schools together with toilet facilities among others.
“Your Excellency, based on Hon. Ntori’s immense knowledge in good governance, good interpersonal relationship with Nananom, the Member of Parliament, and the entire citizenry of Fanteakwa District, we wish to appeal for his re-appointment as the District Chief Executive for the District to continue his good works,” part of the Petition read.
