The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is inviting all persons who have fallen victim to Gamel Issaka, alias Fagati, to come forward and assist with investigations following his arrest.
Fagati, who styled himself as the Managing Director of Fagati Limited Real Estate Developers, Suppliers and General Merchants, is accused of orchestrating one of the most brazen land scams in Kpone Katamanso and the East Legon Hills enclave. For years, he allegedly sold the same parcels of land to multiple buyers and absconded with huge sums of money.
Police sources say the scale of his fraudulent operations is vast, with dozens of complaints already lodged. Families have been displaced, investors have lost their savings, and communities have suffered widespread disruption. The SIU believes more victims are yet to come forward and is therefore urging anyone defrauded by Fagati to report immediately with documents and proof of payment to strengthen the case.
Investigators described his arrest as a major step in dismantling land fraud syndicates in the region. Meanwhile, victims who have already spoken out are demanding justice, calling for Fagati to face the full weight of the law to deter others.
The Ghana Police Service is appealing to the public to cooperate, noting that the success of the case hinges on the testimonies and evidence of those affected.

Fagati who has been on the police radar for a considerable period of time is accused of selling the same plots of land to multiple buyers and disappearing with huge sums of money. Victims numbering in the dozens have stepped forward with documents and testimonies that expose the shocking scale of his fraudulent operations. Families have been left homeless investors have lost life savings and communities are reeling from the chaos he created. He is currently in the grips of the anti-land guard unit of the Ghana Police Service
Police investigators, according to our sources say Fagati built his scheme around trust presenting himself as a respectable businessman and hiding behind his company’s name to lure unsuspecting buyers. Behind the façade however was a well calculated scam that left a trail of destruction across Kpone Katamanso. Officers described his arrest as a major breakthrough in the fight against rampant land fraud in the region.
His numerous victims have welcomed the news with relief and anger demanding that the full weight of the law be brought down on him. Many insist that he should face the full rigours of the law to serve as deterent to others who may attempt to exploit innocent land buyers.
