Lawyer and journalist, Samson Lardy Anyenini, has openly endorsed the flagbearer of Movement for Change Alan Kyerematen’s Growth Transformational Plan (GTP) as a comprehensive development plan that would transform Ghana’s economy.
“The first time I read the GTP, my summary of it was that it was a coalescing of what people have demanded for a long time, including the transformation of the Constitution,” the host of Joy FM’s Newsfile programme expressed his confidence in the former trade and industry minister’s vision on last Tuesday, at the Coconut Groove Regent
Hotel in Accra.
He further praised the flag bearer for the Movement for Change Mr. Kyerematen’s GTP, recognizing him as a comprehensive response to the long-standing demands for systemic change in the country.
Mr. Lardy’s comment inferred that the great Transformational Plan document is not just a superficial outline but a thoroughly considered plan that has the potential to drive meaningful change in Ghana.
Expressing his support for the Movement for Change, the Ghanaian lawyer Mr. Lardy further highlighted a growing sentiment among many Ghanaians who see the need for a new political direction of Mr. Kyerematen and his Movement, saying that “I am a believer in a third force, and I believe that your Movement can take us there.”
Mr. Samson Lardy’s endorsement of the Movement was further solidified by his approval of Mr. Kyerematen’s bold approach to tackling corruption. The proposal to establish an anti-corruption Czar with independent prosecutorial powers, capable of holding even the president accountable, resonated strongly with him.
The idea of consolidating all corruption-related legislation into a single, robust law also drew positive reactions from the media personalities gathered.
